Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful, VERY RARE, impossible to find 1898 ''Schoenau & Hoffmeister'' 22'' inches tall, mold number 1000, Near mint Bisque head and arms, repaired leather body, Replaced appropriate light brunette/dark blonde wig, fabulous dark brown original eyes. This doll is wonderful, she has on a beautiful appropriate but not original light peach colored organdy dress with tan lace and hand sewn tiny pearls, very fancy, she looks like a 2 or 3 thousand dollar doll. The only flaw I see is on her face, its very hard to notice, the girl that hand painted her eyes many years ago miscalculated and over painted 1 of her upper eyelashes. The body is original but 1/2 of the original leather body hade to be replaced, looks like a very professional repair, using the same type of fabric that was on her original legs and feet, the repair is hard to see, the upper arm fabric was also replaced but it also looks good. She also has her original skull cap, its in good condition and displays very nice. She also has her original sawdust stuffing. Replaced appropriate panty-looms, stockings, shoes. I was told that her original silk dress disintegrated, I received her from an estate sale in Ohio, they said the woman that owned her was very old and hade no children when she died. Her original human hair was on her head when I received her but it was almost completely disintegrated , I hade the 15 percent of the remaining hair sewn into a tiny wig-let and placed it inside her darling little Victorian real feather purse, looks fantastic, it matches the real feathers on top of her hat, the hat is beautiful it matches her organdy dress, this is a fabulous doll and I have given her a really good price, email me for a photo, no one could ever be disappointed with this doll. $285.00
